Working a full-time job, working out at the gym before or after work, networking, socializing….let’s face it, most of the time we are too busy with our hectic life and don’t have a lot of time to think about nutrition or where our next healthy meal comes from. Drinking kale and spinach seems as exciting to most people as chopping off an arm or leg.  However, green smoothies, loaded with nutrients and vitamins, called superfoods, are on the top of the list with highest benefits.

Our goal is it to last throughout the day and be productive at work without breaking down after lunch into a food coma. We seek energy, youth, a healthy lifestyle and a tasteful meal. To increase energy and detox the body from all the toxins ingested on a daily basis, we need to start to re-think our lifestyle and diet.

Juicing food

Juicing food has tons of benefits. It will increase your energy and lift your mood. Carbs, sugar and caffeine cravings will slowly subside. Another positive effect of this extreme health bomb is weight loss. To get my day started, I blend 2 servings of greens (spinach or kale) and 3-4 servings of fruit, 30g of vegan protein, a handful of nuts and enough water to make it a bit runny so it wont be just a blob of green mass. For example, this morning I added kale, spinach,  berries (goji berries),  an apple, a small orange, a handful of nuts (pecan), a handful of seeds (pumpkin) , my protein and 500 ml of water, blended it all into a beautiful smoothie and enjoyed it before I went to work. It energized me for 4 hours!

Juicing your favorite fruits and vegetables is not complicated, neither does it require a lot of effort. All you need is a good blender and the willpower to drink your veggies ;-).

Why should I juice my food?

Well, lets think about this. Natural remedies have been always growing here on earth. Herbs, Fruits and Vegetables can cure, heal and prevent diseases and illnesses. The pharmaceutical industry does not create cures, they create customers.

Iron deficiency:

Mixing beets, apples, carrots, broccoli and kelp leaves will boost your iron levels as well as folic acid,

magnesium and vitamins C and E.

Flu and cold:

Thinking about that flu shot? The flu shot is a toxic bomb of chemicals and toxins! Instead mix garlic, honey, turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper, orange juice and juice of 6 lemons. Drink to fight off the flu or any cold.

Drinking 8 glasses of pure water throughout the day will not only hydrate your body, but also lowers cholesterol levels, works like an antioxidant, cleanses your body, has anti aging benefits, curbs appetite, regulates your body temperature, helps with your metabolism….the list is endless.

Dull, aging skin:

Besides drinking 8 glasses of water a day, rejuvenate yourself and make your skin glow by juicing cucumbers with celery and apples.

The darker your juice the richer it is in nutrients. Drink the juice fresh! Use natural sweeteners, like add apples, pears, bananas, berries….Always use fresh ingredients, preferably from the farmers market. Try to buy seasonal produce and always aim for organic produce.
